Australia Post Scam Alert: Parcel Delivery SMS

Please be aware of a current phishing scam targeting Australia Post customers.

Fraudulent text messages are being circulated advising customers of an update for a delivery and prompting them to click on a link to verify the address.

The link will lead to a fake Australia Post website which is designed to steal your personal and financial information.

This is an update to the scam alert published by Australia Post on 16th January 2020.

Please note that Australia Post will never email or text message you asking for personal information, financial information or a payment.

If you are in doubt about the authenticity of an email, text message or phone call, please delete immediately or hang up. If you are genuinely awaiting the delivery of a parcel please contact the supplier, Australia Post or the courier company direct to confirm tracking information. Never provide your personal or account information to an unknown source.

If you believe you have sent any personal information to a scam email address or entered it into a scam website and are concerned about your account security please contact us immediately on 1300 747 747.
