Changes to banking services provided by Westpac
Monday, 23 November 2020
Westpac have decided to end their agency banking services arrangement that they previously provided to smaller financial institutions such as Qudos Bank. As a result, our customers will no longer be able to use Westpac branches for several banking services.
We are reviewing the full range of services affected and working with our network of partners to provide alternate solutions.
In the meantime, we have been told that the following over the counter services at Westpac branches will gradually cease from 30 December 2020:
- Cash deposits*
- Cheque deposits*
- Cash withdrawals
*If you have been using a Qudos Bank deposit book at a Westpac Branch in the last 2 years you will receive a new barcoded deposit book that can be used at Australia Post. These should be mailed to you by mid-December.
The easiest and fastest way to move your money is via electronic transfer within Online Banking or the Mobile App and to use ATMs for cash withdrawals.
If you need to deposit cash or cheques, and or make a cash withdrawal in person, please visit a Qudos Bank branch or Australia Post office closest to you.
Qudos Bank Branches
Our branches accept cash (excluding coin) and cheque deposits, except for the Ascot Branch in Brisbane which accepts cheque deposits only.
You can visit over 3,500 participating Post Offices across Australia that offer Bank@Post services to make cheque or cash deposits or withdraw cash. Please make sure you have your Qudos Bank Visa Debit Card or new barcoded deposit book on hand. You will need this deposit book for joint cheques. Limits will apply.
We apologise for the inconvenience caused by these changes to Westpac agency services and hope to provide you with more information shortly as we formalise our service solutions.
