Qantas Points are almost part of the lexicon these days in Australia. Pretty much everyone knows what they are and what they can get you (flights, holidays, products – the list goes on!).
As a member of the Qantas Points Frequent Flyer program, you can earn Qantas Points on a myriad of everyday purchases at a huge variety of retailers and organisations (as well as on eligible Qantas flights of course). You can then redeem those points with Qantas in exchange for anything from flights to package holidays, hotels to car hire, wine to gift vouchers. There are over 3,000 products too (including brands such as Apple and Dyson).
How to earn Qantas Points on your day-to-day purchases
Earning Qantas Points is easy. Qantas’ network of partners means that almost anything you do in your day to day life could earn you Qantas Points. With just a little forward planning, you can easily maximise your Qantas Points earn potential, meaning you’ll hit the threshold for your coveted reward much sooner.
So what forward planning are we talking about? Whenever you’re planning a day out, a holiday or even reviewing your household bills, check the Qantas Points website to see if there’s an option that suits you and earns you Qantas Points.
How to maximise your Qantas Points earn potential with banking products
In addition to earning points on certain Qantas flights, another way to increase your Qantas Points earn potential is to have a credit card where you earn Qantas Points on eligible purchases.
In fact, we offer four products that have Qantas Points earn potential – our Qantas Points Saver, Visa Platinum Credit Card, Qantas Points Car Loan and our Qantas Points Home Loan.1
With our Visa Platinum Credit Card you can earn 1 Qantas Point for every $1 spent on eligible purchases from $1-$2,500 per calendar month. Then 0.5 Qantas Points for every $1 spent on eligible purchases above $2,501 in that same month.2
With our Qantas Points Home Loan, you can earn 150 Qantas Points per annum for every $1000 of your loan balance, credited monthly. It’s important to remember that any amount held in your offset account will reduce your loan balance for the purposes of the Qantas Points calculation.
Imagine that – earning Qantas Points just by doing the grocery shopping, grabbing a coffee or paying a bill. You’ll be surprised by how quickly your Qantas Points balance adds up! Hello, rewards!
Check out our Qantas Points Calculator page for more detail on how our products can earn you Qantas Points.
