Is Google Chrome your go to browser? If so, security experts at Google are urging all Chrome users to update their browser, immediately.

There is a zero-day vulnerability for Chrome that is being actively exploited by hackers. This means that hackers have found a way of doing bad things to your device or data before anyone, including the Google Chrome team, even knew the vulnerability existed. In other words, they have zero days to fix any issues while hackers have the potential to take over your computer. To keep users safe, Google released an update for all Chrome platforms.

Make sure your browser is up to date and safe. Go to the drop-down menu in Chrome on the far right of the toolbar and click on the three stacked dots. Next, select ‘Help’ and scroll across to ‘About Google Chrome’. This page will tell you what version of Chrome you are currently using. If it says version 72.0.3626.121, you are safe from the exploit. If your browser requires an update, Chrome should fetch the latest version and update your browser automatically from this page. Check back in a few minutes to ensure you have the latest version.
