Our latest mobile app update features more flexibility and control over your Qudos Bank Debit and Credit Cards. We continue to enhance our digital banking capabilities, introducing self-service functionalities encouraging efficient and safe banking for customers.

What are card controls?

Card controls allow you to set preferences on how you’d like to use your card, including different transaction controls and the ability to temporarily lock your card in the event you misplace it.

The types of controls you can toggle on and off include:


Card lock & Unlock

Allows you to temporarily lock your card if you have misplaced it, until you are certain it is lost. You can then report your card as lost or stolen and contact us for a new card.

ATM withdrawals

You can block cash withdrawals and transfers at any domestic and international ATMs.

Instore transactions

You can block payments attempted where the card is physically presented at any domestic or international merchant EFTPOS machine, including swipe, insert or payWave.

Digital Wallet

Block any payments made using devices or online including Apple Pay and Google Pay, this also includes any in-app purchases domestically or internationally.

Online shopping

You can block any online payments made internationally or domestically. This also includes payments made over the phone.

Tap & Pay transactions

PayWave is available with all Qudos Bank Debit or Credit Cards also known as contactless Tap to Pay. You can block PayWave transactions, you will then need to either insert or swipe your card to make the transaction.

You can access card controls within the app via card management within the menu and in online banking via the services tab in the menu.
