You should ensure that Qudos Bank has your correct mobile number in order to receive the verification code via text message (you may also call our Contact Centre on 1300 747 747 for verification). We also require a current email address to send the welcome notification. If you do not have a valid mobile and email registered with us (or have had these details registered for less than 30 days), you may also call our Contact Centre on 1300 747 747 for verification and Card provisioning. When adding cards to Google Pay a Virtual Account Number is created in place of your card account number. This number is used when you make a payment with Google Pay (or a refund of that payment), so that your card account number isn't shared with the merchant and won’t appear on the receipt. Each time you add a card to Google Pay, a new virtual account number is created.

Yes, you can add multiple Qudos Bank cards to Google Pay on compatible Android devices and choose a default card. However, you must select the required card prior to making a purchase if more than one card is added.

Yes, you can add the same card to more than one device.

If you have added your eligible Qudos Bank credit card to Google Pay, you can use this to make payments overseas at contactless terminals in stores, online and in-app at participating merchants, as long as the overseas location and merchant support Google Pay.

Yes, you can add your loyalty cards and gift cards to Google Pay.

If you make a transaction of over $100 you will be prompted to enter your physical card PIN at the contactless terminal. If a PIN code is required to authorise a refund, you will need to enter your physical card PIN at the terminal.

You do not need an internet connection to make payments through Google Pay, however you can only make a limited number of transactions whilst offline. The number of offline purchases available will re-set once your device has reconnected to the internet.

No, currently you cannot take cash out using your Qudos Bank Debit card with Google Pay.

No. Your replacement Qudos Bank card will automatically be updated in Google Pay. You can continue using Google Pay if you’re waiting to receive your new plastic card.

You will need to report your card lost or stolen in online banking or mobile app. You will then need to contact us to have a replacement card issued. Once your new card is issued and activated, you will be able to use Google Pay as previously (there is no need to re-enrol your new card).

No, if your physical card is placed on hold, reported lost or stolen or cancelled Google Pay will no longer be able to be used to process transactions.

To remove a card from Google Pay:

Go to the Google Pay App on your device, select the card you want to remove, tap on the three dots in the top right hand corner of the screen and select Remove payment method. A confirmation message is displayed. Tap, Yes, remove. Your mobile card will be removed from your Google Pay wallet.

If your device has been lost or stolen, you can prevent unauthorised payments being made with your card on Google Pay by locking your phone remotely using Google’s Find My Device feature.

If you are not able to lock your phone using this feature, please call contact us on 1300 747 747.

You can mark your card as lost or stolen through online banking or our mobile app. Please note that this will cancel your card entirely – you will not be able to use your physical card and your direct debits will also need to be redirected. However, if you contact us on the number above, we can suspend access to your card through Google Pay without otherwise effecting your ability to use your physical card and maintain your direct debits.

The transaction limits that apply to your Qudos Bank Card do not change as a result of your adding your Card to Google Pay.

Make sure you have set up Google Pay on your device. (Visit https://pay.google.com/about/ to learn more).

Yes, Google Pay transactions process the same as Paywave transactions using your card and will appear as pending transactions in the Qudos Bank mobile app and Online Banking.

Please check the card number and expiry dates are correct as there might be issues with the scanning process. Please also make sure you have sufficient funds in the linked account as $0.01 will be charged as part of the card validation process.

We are limited to the number of card designs we can display in the Google Pay service so we’ve had to use 1 design to represent each of our cards. You may have a different design or colour however the image shown doesn’t affect the use of the card with Google Pay.
