Getting started is simple

Adding your card

Once you’ve installed the Garmin app onto your iOS or Android smartphone you can add your Qudos credit or debit card to Garmin PayTM.

  1. Tap Create your wallet in the Garmin app and enter a 4-digit passcode
  2. Tap Mastercard or Visa to either fill in your card details or scan them using your smartphone’s camera
  3. We’ll send you a one-time passcode via SMS. Use it to confirm you want to link your Qudos credit or debit card to Garmin PayTM. Your card will then be added to the virtual wallet on your Garmin smartwatch.
  4. To pay using your Garmin smartwatch, press and hold the action button then tap the wallet icon (you may need to enter your 4-digit passcode) and hold your smartwatch to the card reader to pay. A green tick confirms it’s been successful.

To remove your card tap the account icon on your Garmin Connect app dashboard and choose Manage Wallet. Swipe to the card you’d like to remove then tap delete.


Making Payments using Garmin Pay

Hold the action button on your watch, then tap the wallet icon (you may need to enter your four-digit passcode). Hold your smartwatch to the card reader to pay.

Garmin Pay is a secure and easy-to-use mobile payment service which is designed to make purchases anywhere contactless payments are accepted. The Garmin smart watch must be linked with a Qudos debit or credit card. Whichever card was used last will be the first card displayed in your wallet. Garmin Pay does not allow you to set default cards.

All Qudos Bank credit cards and Visa debit cards which support contactless payments are eligible to be added to Garmin Pay.

Garmin Pay can be more secure than using a physical card. A unique Device Account Number is securely stored on a chip in the device so payment can be made without any card information having to be shared with the retailer.

Garmin Pay will work in all countries where contactless payments are accepted. We recommend you take your plastic card as a backup, as not all merchants in all countries may support contactless payments.

Please note, EFTPOS is not accepted internationally, so we recommend using your VISA as your payment option when you are travelling overseas or making international transactions.

If you make a transaction of over $100 you might be prompted to enter your physical card PIN at the contactless terminal. If a PIN code is required to authorise a refund, you will need to enter your physical card PIN at the terminal.

No. You don't need an internet connection to use Garmin Pay in stores.

If you have lost your Garmin device, you should contact us on 1300 747 747 to request that your card be disabled for use with Garmin Pay.

To remove your card from your Garmin Device:

  1. Open the Garmin connect Mobile app on your mobile.
  2. Tap on the Settings icon on the Garmin connect Mobile app dashboard.
  3. Tap on Garmin Pay.
  4. Tap on Manage Your Wallet.
  5. Tap on the card to be removed.
  6. Tap Delete.
  7. Tap OK to confirm. The card is removed from Garmin Pay.

Remember, when you delete a card from Garmin Pay, your physical card will remain active. If you want to cancel your card, you should cancel your card in the mobile app or within online banking or contact us on 1300 747 747.
