As a Qudos Bank customer, your banking is helping support local communities, protect nature, and strengthen disability inclusion and kids' literacy.
In 2026, 14 organisations across Australia will share in $300,000 in grants to support their work across a range of impact areas.
These include The Footpath Library in NSW providing literacy kits for children experiencing homelessness and living in crisis accommodation, and ECOllaboration cleaning up litter and marine debris from the Maroochy River catchment in Queensland.

This is the first year welcoming Qudos Bank community customers to apply for Bank Australia Limited grants and participate in the customer selection committee since merging in 2025, building on a decade of the community customer grants program which has provided $2.5 million in funding since 2016.
Qudos Bank customer Matt Williamson served on the community customer grants evaluation committee this year, helping assess applications and bringing a community perspective to the funding decisions.
Reviewing the applications gave Matt an insight into the breadth of work happening in communities across Australia.
"There were so many different projects and causes, and it was great to hear about the work people are doing in their communities," he says.
What stood out most was the impact grassroots organisations are having, often with limited resources.
"A lot of the organisations rely on volunteers or have pretty limited resources, but they're still making a big difference in their communities. It was easy to see how even a relatively small grant could have a real impact."
Matt says involving customers in the process helps ensure funding decisions reflect community priorities.
"Customers bring a community perspective that you don't always get otherwise. Having people from different backgrounds involved helps make sure decisions aren't just based on numbers, but also on the potential impact a project can have on the people it's trying to support."
Reflecting on his experience, Matt says the process highlighted the value of supporting local organisations.
"There are so many community groups doing great work that most people probably don't even know about. It really highlighted how valuable these grant programs are."
Qudos Bank community members were invited to apply for grants, with two organisations submitting applications this year.

Cheltenham Community Centre will deliver a 12‑month inclusive activity program for people with intellectual disability, responding to local demand for accessible opportunities to connect and participate in community life.
Prace Ltd’s Future Fit program supports young people aged 16 to 20 in Melbourne’s outer north who are no longer in school and face barriers to further study or work.
Rethink Recycling Co-op’s RRC Cube will make hands-on circular economy education more accessible for schools and community groups.
The grant will support the design, build, fit-out and safety testing of the RRC Cube, creating a transportable education platform that can be used across a range of learning settings.
The Footpath Library will provide literacy kits for children experiencing homelessness and living in crisis accommodation across Greater Sydney, the Central Coast and Hunter regions.
The Reconnect Project will provide 100 refurbished laptops to primary and high school students in Tasmania who do not have reliable access to a computer at home.
Funding will also support paid training and employment for neurodivergent young adults in the repair workshop, supporting practical work experience while increasing access to technology for students.
Through the grant, Open Table will collect and redistribute surplus food, support volunteers and strengthen a program that reduces food waste, eases financial stress and builds community connection.
Green Music Australia’s Cleaner Campsites project focuses on reducing the waste left behind
at music festival campsites.
ECOllaboration’s River Patrol program brings volunteers together each week to remove litter and marine debris from the Maroochy River catchment on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.
Wildlife Unlimited will support the recovery of the spot-tailed quoll in East Gippsland, where the species plays an important role in local ecosystems and holds cultural significance for Traditional Owners.
The Great Southern Reef program will share Traditional Owner knowledge, stories and connections to Sea Country through film and community engagement in South Australia.
Djakamirr Co-op Ltd is a First Nations-led organisation supporting Yolŋu women to restore cultural authority in maternal care through the Djäkamirr initiative.
Lifeline Loddon Mallee will deliver early intervention domestic and family violence awareness training across the Loddon Mallee region, where rates of family violence are higher than the Victorian average.
Meals With Impact Foundation will run a 10-week training and employment program for 25 women, supporting pathways into work in food manufacturing, hospitality and related industries.
Women of Colour Australia’s WoCMentorWoC 2027 program will support 10 Women of Colour through a national online mentorship program.
Over four months, participants will be matched with experienced Women of Colour mentors to build leadership confidence, strengthen career skills and grow professional networks.
