FAQs

What is the daily payWave limit?

The daily transaction limit for Visa payWave is 30 transactions or $15,000 per day. You may be requested to enter your card PIN for transactions over $100. Mobile payments may also require pre-authentication on your device.

My card is close to expiry, when can I expect to receive my renewal card?

Renewal cards are sent out to you on the 24th of the month prior to your card expiry. Your card will not expire until the end of the month printed on your card.

Please note: Australia Post may be experiencing delays to some postal services which may impact the delivery of your card. If you have not received your replacement card by the end of the month that your card expires, please contact us on 1300 747 747.

What is the difference between a Visa card transaction and a Visa payWave transaction?

A Visa card transaction is a transaction where the card is inserted into the merchant’s card terminal. A Visa payWave transaction is a transaction where the card or mobile device is tapped onto the merchant’s card terminal through contactless technology. card transactions & PayWave transactions have a daily transaction limit of $15,000 per day.

Who is eligible to apply for a Visa Debit Card?

Customers over the age of 12, who have a youth account with Qudos Bank are eligible for a Low Limit Visa Debit Card.

Customers over the age of 16 who have a youth or general savings account with Qudos Bank are eligible for a regular Visa Debit Card.

What should I do if I discover a transaction I don’t recognise?

If you find an unauthorised transaction on your account, please visit the transaction dispute page for more information and next steps to take.

How I do activate my card?
  • Log into Online Banking.
  • Once you are logged in, click on 'Services' and then 'Activate Card' in the drop down.
  • You will need to ensure you have QSafe SMS activated and request your code.
  • Select the cards to be activated and follow the prompts.
  • If you don’t have access to Online Banking, please call our Contact Centre on 1300 747 747.
How do I reset my password?

If you forget your Online Banking password, simply use the online reset feature available on the login page of Online Banking. You’ll be asked some questions to verify your identity, then follow the prompts to reset your password.

If your card is lost or stolen, please ensure that you report it immediately in Online Banking or by contacting us on 1800 621 199 (24 hours toll free) or during business hours 1300 747 747 and request a new card.
